I’d still remember the story of Scout Hilario A. Andino, Scoutmaster in Jose Abad Santos High school about the war between two countries defending their territory against the enemy.
Suddenly when they met, they took their firearms pointing each other ready to fire and waiting who’s gonna fall to death.
One soldier has a great chance to live longer when his enemy was directly hit at the right leg which makes him disabled. So the soldier slowly closed his eyes while silently praying and He don’t know why he raised his both hand waiving with the scout sign.
Unfortunately, when his enemy saw his hand instead continuing firing at him, he tried to help and lay him on the ground with care. And He said, “Don’t worry my brother scout, I will support you and relax. Forget everything”.
It was proven that once you are scout is always a scout. It can never replace by anyone that a true spirit of brotherhood is always in the heart of scouting.
